A hidden paradise - La Fabrique en Ville
Access via Boulevard de Waterloo 44, 1000 Bruxelles OR via Rue aux Laines, 1000 Bruxelles
- Open on Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm
- Open on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am–5pm
For those of you who want to enjoy a nice breakfast or lunch in a lovely frame, La Fabrique en Ville is the place you are looking for.
Right in the middle of the Parc d'Egmont, you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch on their big terrace ! Even better during summer days when you can enjoy the sun on their lovely terrace.
Only footsteps away from the Avenue Louise and the Petit Sablon, La Fabrique en Ville is perfectly located. During the week you can enjoy a good breakfast, lunch or have a one of their fresh juices!
During the weekend, they offer an all you can eat buffet for 29€. You'll have plenty of inspiring food to choose from: muesli, granola, scrambled eggs, pancakes, salads…
If you choose to go on a weekend, make sure to make reservations. The place tends to be really crowded!
A great place to enjoy your weekend and find the time to relax with your friends and or family.

Where to park near La Fabrique en Ville?
You can access La Fabrique en Ville either via Boulevard de Waterloo 44, either via Rue aux Laines.
You can park for free in Rue de la Samaritaine and Rue des Tanneurs. The streets where parking is free and with no time limit are displayed in green on the map.
Rue de la Samaritaine and Rue des Tanneurs are respectively at 10 and 13 minutes walking distance from la Fabrique en Ville.
If you choose to brunch, you can park anywhere as parking on a Sunday is free in all streets.
For coffee lovers - OR Coffee
OR Jourdan — 13a Place Jourdan, 1040 Etterbeek

Are you a coffee lover? OR Coffee won't disappoint you!
OR Coffee has opened two branches in Brussels. One in the European Quarter (OR Jourdan) and one in the center footsteps away from "Bourse" (OR Dansaert).
The coffee is excellent and there's plenty of choice. Besides the espresso's, macchiato's and the other coffee, you can enjoy one of their pastries or even a bagel.
A great cafe to go for a little break during the day.
Where to park near OR Coffee?
If you go to the OR Dansaert branch, you can park in one of the blue streets displayed on the left side of the map.
If you go to the OR Dansaert branch, you can park in one of the blue streets displayed on the left side of the map.
Quai du Batelage is for instance 15 minutes away (by walking).
In the blue zones you can stay for 2 hours, from 9am until 6pm everyday of the week except on sundays. Putting you parking disc is required.
The OR Jourdan branch is located in the European Quarter.
In Avenue du Maelbeek you can park for free and with no time restriction (the green street displayed on the map).
Plus, it's only 2 minutes away from Place Jourdan!
Vegan is the new black — TICH
Rue de Namur 25, 1000 Bruxelles
- Open from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6.30pm
- Open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10am to 7pm
You're a vegan food lover? Then you should eat at the TICH at least once!
Canteen and concept store at the same time, TICH is located in Rue de Namur, nearby Porte de Namur.
You can go to TICH to have breakfast, lunch or just to hangout with a cup of coffee in there for a couple of hours.
In the morning you can taste their banana toast or homemade pancakes. At noon try one of their tasty salads, delicious toasts and healthy raw cakes!
TICH is also a concept store where you can buy your organic groceries or cooking books. They even have their own line of sweater, t-shirts and fun objects that are perfect for a gift.
Make sure to try the place if you enjoy vegan food and laid-back atmosphere.
Where to park near TICH ?
If you plan on going to testing the TICH out, you can park in the Rue de la Samaritaine. Walking from there is only 8 minutes away.
It's the green street displayed on the left of the map. The green streets are free and there no time limitation that applies to them.
A taste of Japan in Brussels — Kumiko Izakaya
Rue d'Alost 7, 1000 Bruxelles
- Open from Monday to Thursday, from 11.30am to 11.30pm
- Open on Fridays, Saturdays, from 11.30 am to 1.30am
- Open on Sundays, from 11.30am to 11.30pm
If you are looking for a good place to eat Onigiris, go to Kumiko Izakaya!
You can have both lunch and dinner at Kumiko.
The Onigiri Lunchboxes are however only available at Lunch. Depending on the lunchbox, you will get one or two Onigiris, Kara Age fried chicken or a salad or Gyoza's and a Miso soup or salad.
If you choose to go there for dinner, you can enjoy a drink afterwards, in the cocktail bar downstairs.
Besides the food, the place looks great. It's another venue where Fréderic Nicolay's left its "design touch". If you live in Brussels chances are you have already been in one of them: Café Belge, Grand Central, Walvis, Flamingo, Roi des Belges… and the list goes on!
Where to park near Kumiko Izakaya?
There’s an extended blue zone area. This means that you are allowed to park if you put your parking disc on, for a maximum of 2 hours. This holds from mondays to saturdays from 9am until 6pm.
However its situated at a 15 minutes walking distance. For instance you could park at Quai de Willebroeck.
On Sundays you can park for free and with no time limitation.
A bit further you can also find a green street, Quai de la Voirie where parking is free and with no time limit.
Your sweet little sin — Forcado
Chaussée de Charleroi 196–198, 1060 Saint-Gilles
- Open from Tuesday to Sundays, from 10am to 6pm
Have you got more of a sweet tooth? Make sure to take a tour at the Forcado.
This Portuguese pastries family affair is located near the Chatelain neighbourhood. Forcado definitely seduce you with their pastéis de nata.
You can also get different sorts of cakes and they even have gluten-free options.
All the pastries are fresh and handmade. Who doesn't like to hear that?
Make sure to go there when you crave a little bit of something sweet 😉
Where to park near Forcado ?
Parking around the Forcado is expensive.
Instead of parking in the yellow and orange streets, go park in the blue zone area.
One of the streets in this blue area is Rue Franz Merjay. Walking to the Forcado from there takes arounds 7 to 10 minutes.
You can park there for a period of 2 hours by putting you parking disc. This is required from Mondays to Saturdays from 9am until 6pm.
